Circulation

Circulation Services assists library patrons with the location and circulation of library materials. Functions include check-outs and check-ins of materials and technology, collection of fines and other charges, re-shelving of library materials, and maintaining order in shelving areas. Circulation Services also assists patrons with general questions about the Libraries.

Monday to Saturday : 09.30 am to 05.30 pm 

Online Renewal

The most convenient way to renew your materials is online by logging in to your Library Account. Materials will NOT renew until at least 2 days before the due date. Please keep in mind that early renewals reduce your total loan period on the renewed item. All Patrons will have 2 times renewal facility with 5 days.

You may click the “Renew All” button, or select items for renewal by checking the box to the left of the material title, then clicking the “Renew Selected” button.

Library items that have reached the renewal limit must be checked in, and may be checked back out to you, provided there are no holds or recalls on the items.

OPAC Search

KAPMI Library catalogue of Books/CDs/Journals, etc is available on the online. (LAN)

OPAC Login

Online public access catalogue provides search facility to locate books and other materials available in the library. KAPMI Library opac is accessed within campus only.

The Feature of Web OPAC is:  

  • Search facility: By specifying Author, Title, subject, year of publication or any other field.
  • Status of the book: Whether the book is on shelf or issued.
  • Number of copies available in library.
  • Due date for the borrowed books.

Reference Service

Users may approach the Reference Desk for information or any assistance in the use of the Library Collections and Services. The following reference services are provided by the library

  • Ready reference service on requested query: on the spot, through email and telephone
  • Information about library services
  • Information about library resources
  • Information about new initiatives being taken by the Library.

User Awareness Service

Library provides all necessary information to the new entrants during the orientation programme conducted by the institute at the beginning of every academic year. Separate lecture sessions are arranged for library users to familiarize about various library resources and services available. Training sessions are also organized whenever a new product or service is introduced.

Orientation Programme

Every year orientation programme was organised by the Library for the First-year students. The main objective behind organizing such programme is to familiarize students with the library’s collection, activities, rules & regulations, functions and services offered by the library. The students were demonstrated search techniques of Web-OPAC and some of the useful and informative websites.

Free Internet Access

Free Internet access to students and staff.
