Manasa Nursing Home
A premier neuropsychiatric centre based in the centre part of Shivamogga. It is a hundred bed hospital with facility of outpatient and inpatient care in psychiatry and neurology. Established in 1979, in its 35 years of existence has treated well over 1,75,000 patients. Psychotherapy, guidance clinic, psychotherapy clinics, a fully equipped lab and diagnostic centre.
The institute is headed by Dr. K.A.Ashok Pai an eminent psychiatrist, film maker and writer.

Manasa Trust
Manasa Centre for Cultural Studies (MCCS) was established as a unit of Manasa Trust, Shimoga, a private trust established by the late Dr. K.A.Ashok Pai in 1986. The Trust, managed by the Pai family, was founded with the objective of supporting and organizing educational, literary and cultural activities. It has very successfully offered distance education programmes in counseling in collaboration with Kuvempu University and is now offering some of these courses in collaboration with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore. The Trust organises lectures, workshops, health camps, Nursing training programmes and a host of related activities to promote Mental Health Awareness. These activities are organised by drawing on the human resources and expertise available at Manasa Hospital, Shivamogga.

MEFFMH was established in the year 2004, with the vision of training lay counsellors to meet the increasing demands of the world today. Manasa Education Foundation For Mental Health. Distance education courses in counselling, child counselling, corporate counselling are provided. MEFFMH has evolved a unique mode of teaching and learning because the courses are offered in the distance learning mode. It uses a blend of preprepared study material written by leading experts, face to face learning during contact programme, practical learning through couselling practice and case studies as well as the lecture method. There is also provision for discussion and follow up.
